“Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something, and that this thing, at whatever cost, must be attained.” – Marie Curie
Of all of my achievements, the greatest were achieved when I trusted myself and my abilities.
Our culture places so much emphasis on conspicuous displays of achievement; doing more, being more and having more. That it creates uncertainty, fear and self-doubt.
Life, our life, should be focused on overcoming these things that hold us back. It should be our life’s mission to slay these demons once and for all.
Having self-confidence in whatever we set out to do, will bring us success. It’s not the same success that can be quantified or qualified. Because we have yet to invent a method of measuring self-confidence and our potential under its influence.
There are those who will try demean your efforts. They live in fear of the unknown and lack self-confidence. When you encounter them, do not attack and fight back. Just smile, extend your hand and shake theirs. For they just paid you the greatest compliment.
If you can, imagine what you could achieve if and when you trusted yourself.
