“Don’t rely on someone else for your happiness and self-worth. Only you can be responsible for that. If you can’t love and respect yourself – no one else will be able to make that happen. Accept who you are – completely; the good and the bad – and make changes as YOU see fit – not because you think someone else wants you to be different.” – Stacey Charter
Just like snow flakes, each and every one of us is different; unique and special in every way.
We will not find happiness by imitating how others speak, dress or act. Especially those we watch on tv or listen to on the radio. When we imitate them, we are making a statement that they are better. That kind of happiness is short-lived and meaningless.
If there is anything we should embrace, it’s our own individuality. There is no magic little pill to take, a diet we can starve ourselves on or something we can buy at the mall that will make us better or happier.
Change, if it needs to me made, does not come from a politician, a social activist or anyone else who is trying to form the world to their ideals. It comes from within, deep within yourself from the desire to make yourself better than you were yesterday.
